A woman died in a fiery two-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway in Egg Harbor Township this morning.

State Police Sgt. Adam Grossman says the preliminary investigation indicates a Mercedes-Benz and a Honda were heading north near mile-marker 38 around 7:45 a.m. when the Mercedes hit the other vehicle, which caught fire.

Grossman says the female driver of the Honda was pronounced dead a short time later Atlantic City Medical Center.

The male driver of the Mercedes was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center: Mainland with unknown injuries, according to Grossman.

No names have been released and the accident remains under investigation.
