A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday for former Barnegat mayor Leonard Morano Jr.
The 75-year-old died Thursday.
The Asbury Park Press reports Morano served on the township committee for nearly two decades. The Democrat lost re-election in 2014.
Morano was predeceased by his wife. He is survived by three children.
A viewing was held Sunday at Barnegat Funeral Home.
A Mass was offered Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Barnegat. His burial followed in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Washington Township, New Jersey.
