City Mourns Fallen Sgt.

Officers honor Police Sgt. Timothy Simpson.

Sgt. Timothy Simpson Funeral Procession

The Caisson with the casket of Sgt. Simpson left police headquarters located at 8th & Race streets at 5:00 am traveled southbound on 8th St. and continued westbound on Arch St., arriving at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul located at 1723 race street at approximately 6:00 am.

The city of Philadelphia said goodbye to one of its finest Monday.
    
Funeral services were held for veteran police Sergeant Timothy Simpson, who was killed last week. 

The Caisson with the casket of Sgt. Simpson left police headquarters located at 8th & race streets at 5:00 a.m. to travel southbound on 8th Street and continued westbound on Arch Street, arriving at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul located at 1723 Race Street around 6:00 a.m.

The service for Sgt. Simpson was open to the general public as many fellow police officers, family members, friends and the general public came to pay their respects.
