Restaurant Holding Fundraiser for Fallen Philadelphia Police Officer

A restaurant is holding a fundraiser to benefit the family of a fallen Philadelphia Police officer.

Bocci's Steakhouse & Comedy Café will be conducting a fundraiser for the family of Sgt. Rafael Ali Friday and Saturday.

Sgt. Ali died after he lost control of his pick-up truck and it slammed into a tree in Roxborough on August 22.

Sgt. Ali worked in the 39th Police District in the city’s Nicetown section.

The benefit starts at 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday at Bocci’s, which is located in the Riverview Plaza in the 1400 block of S. Columbus Boulevard.

Restaurant officials say a portion of all proceeds made from food sales and comedy show ticket sales will be donated to the Fraternal Order of Police in Sgt. Ali’s name for his family.
