The saying "hell has no fury like a woman scorned,” was certainly played out in federal court Monday in the corruption trial of Pennsylvania State Senator Vince Fumo.

The feds allege Fumo used taxpayers’ money and his office for personal gain.

Fumo's ex-girlfriend, Dorothy Egrie-Wilcox, took the stand to describe Fumo as a money-crazed power hungry man. She testified Fumo was obsessed with having money, while at the same time spent large amounts of cash on a regular basis.

Egrie-Wilcox also testified that while at lavish restaurants, Fumo would sometimes say, "Let's put this bill on OPM, meaning "other people's money."

Egrie-Wilcox also told jurors Fumo gave her a state senate laptop for her personal use while they dated between 1999 and 2004.

Federal prosecutors said when the couple broke up briefly, Fumo had her followed.

Egrie-Wilcox says while apart she dated her ex-boyfriend, and when Fumo found out he had her ex-boyfriend's license revoked on a past motor vehicle violation.

On Tuesday, the defense is expected to cross-examine Fumo's ex-girlfriend.
