Frontier to Add More Flights From PHL, Expand Flight Attendant Base Locally

Frontier Airlines will add more flights between Philadelphia and other U.S. destinations, just in time for Spring Break. The airline will also boost its flight attendant base in the area, which would be a boon for the region.

The low-cost carrier has been on a route-adding streak lately after it announced earlier this year the launch of 42 new routes, including 10 to Philadelphia International Airport.

Frontier will continue its expansion in spring next year; the carrier announced that starting March 13, 2017 it will add seasonal flights between Philadelphia and West Palm Beach, Florida, and year-round service between Houston.

Flights between Houston and West Palm Beach will be available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Service between West Palm Beach will end April 19, 2017.

The company in early 2017 will also expand its flight attendant base in Philadelphia and Trenton, which will act as flight attendant co-domicile bases, according to an internal document obtained by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Line-holders will now be able to begin trips either in Philadelphia or Trenton.
