It's Free Beer Night

Here’s to you, Philly.

That’s what Pottsville, Pa.-based D.C. Yuengling & Sons is saying Friday night as they buy people around the City of Brotherly Love and surrounding suburbs a lager.

The 6:30 p.m. toast is a way for Yuengling to thank the city that first embraced its iconic lager and other brews.

"We really wouldn't be where we are now without the support of Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs," said Yuengling spokeswoman Jamie Ruhling.

From Nick’s Roast Beef in South Philly to Ten Stone in Graduate Hospital to Tony’s Place in Ivyland, Pa. to McMenamin’s in Mt. Airy to Chap’s Tap Room in Norristown more than 250 bars in total will be participating. Click here for a full list and enjoy the free brew.

Participating bars will give patrons -- 21-and-over of course -- a coupon for a free beer from America’s oldest brewery starting around 6 p.m.

Beers will be handed out around 6:20 p.m. and then at 6:30 revealers will raise their glasses in unison.

Ruhling says that Yuengling, which is now America's largest brewery as it is sold in 14 states, hopes to make the toast an annual fall tradition.

Cheers!
