Hit-&-Run Driver Hits Stabbing Victim Who Dies: Police

A sport-utility vehicle possibly ran over a man who died after being found with multiple stab wounds on Philadelphia street Thursday night.

Philadelphia Police haven't released the man's name, but say he was in his 20s and found along Foulkrod Street near Oxford Avenue in the city's Frankford section about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The man was able to run about a half block after being stabbed, and that's when he may have been struck by the SUV, or simply ran into the vehicle himself, said police. He died a short time later at Temple University Hospital.

Police said they found a knife with a bloody handled. They've also tracked down the address that matches the license plate of the SUV, but haven't said whether they've found the driver who fled the scene.
