Flood Watch in Effect

Much of the region will be under a Flood Watch Friday morning through Saturday afternoon as heavy rains pound the area once again.

Computer models differ on timing of heaviest rain, but all agree on multiple inch rainfalls.

Model forecasts range from over 1 inch to around 4 inches by Sunday. Thunderstorms are likely and some flooding could be expected.

It’s still unclear whether there will be enough rain for rivers like -- the Schuylkill -- to flood.

The upper-air low that is so far west of us and moving so slowly should continue to bring a shower threat through Tuesday. It could be relatively dry Sunday into Monday morning (by comparison) before the upper low moves in and triggers more storms Monday night into Tuesday.
