Opening Date Set For Fishtown Slice Pizzeria; Owners to Expand Rittenhouse Spot

Big things are in store for the Rittenhouse Square outpost of the Slice pizzeria concept, the owners of which have set the opening date for their newest spot in Fishtown.

Marlo Dilks and Jason Dilks on Friday, Oct. 28, will open their fourth Slice restaurant at 431 E. Girard Ave. in Fishtown. (See photo gallery of the space and of the food.)

On Friday, between 11-1 p.m. and 4-7 p.m., the restaurant will offer free slices of pizza, including signature pizza and Fishtown-exclusive pizza.

The first three Slice locations are in Rittenhouse Square, South Philadelphia's Italian Market, and Washington Township in New Jersey.

The 450-square-foot Fishtown location is the Dilks' first organic location, which replaced the recently-closed Art of Pizza.

The BYO restaurant offers delivery and takeout, and has enough seating for up to 20 in the dining room. The menu includes exclusives like Brussels sprout pizza, fig pizza and free-range wings.
