A fisherman made quite the catch even if it wasn’t exactly what he was trying to hook.
The angler reeled in a purse that was reported stolen in central Pennsylvania.
The Centre Daily Times reports the angler made the big catch while fishing from a boat dock in Howard, Pa -- about 20 miles northeast of State College.
On Thursday, a woman reported the purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle, according to state police.
State police say the purse was missing the $28 that the woman who reported it stolen said was inside.
Authorities haven't announced any arrests in the case.
The fisherman wasn’t identified.
