First Look at Al Pacino as Penn State Legend Joe Paterno

We are getting our first look at Al Pacino as late Penn State coach Joe Paterno.

The actor will portray "Joe Pa" in an upcoming HBO biopic directed by Barry Levinson.

HBO says the film will focus on Paterno dealing with the fallout from the child sex abuse scandal involving his former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. The all-time winningest coach in major college football history was fired days after Sandusky's Nov. 2011 arrest and died two months later at the age of 85.

Sandusky was convicted in 2012 of 45 counts of child sexual abuse. He maintains his innocence and is appealing, while serving 30 to 60 years in state prison.

Three other former high-ranking Penn State administrators are also serving time for how they responded to a 2001 complaint about Jerry Sandusky showering with a boy.

The HBO biopic has not yet been named.
