Firefighter, 2 Others Injured in Pottstown House Fire

The firefighter was burned and rushed to Pottstown Hospital.

Three people were rescued by firefighters from a burning house in Pottstown Monday morning, according to investigators.

Two of those people were injured, as was a firefighter, authorities say.

Fire crews were called to the home on E. 3rd Street just before 8 a.m. where they found three people trapped inside.

Firefighters were able to rescue the three victims. Only one of those victims needed to be taken to the hospital. That person was flown to Temple University Hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time, according to authorities. A second injured person is being worked on at the scene, investigators tell NBC10.

A firefighter was also injured in the blaze. Authorities tells NBC10 he was burned and transported to Pottstown Hospital.
