Family Displaced by Fire in Northeast Philly

Fire crews responded to reports of smoke and flames on a residential block in Northeast Philly Friday morning.

The blaze broke out shortly after 8:15 a.m. in a two-story rowhome on the 1300 block of Foulkrod Street, according to officials.

Crews got the fire under control around 9:10 a.m.

No one was hurt. The American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania is assisting one family, who was displaced by the fire.

Offficials with PECO responded to the home due to nearby arching wires. The city's Department of Licenses & Inspections are also investigating.

Officials have yet to release the cause of the fire.
