Firefighter Hurt in South Jersey House Blaze

A firefighter suffered minor burns while battling a 2-alarm fire at a South Jersey home early Saturday morning.

A Gloucester County home, located along the 300 block of West Cherry Street in Wenonah, went up in flames areound 2 a.m., officials said.

Crews brough the blaze under control around 3:15 a.m. -- about an hour after they first responded, according to authorities.

The injured man was treated and released from a local hospital.

In Pennsylvania, another fire tore through a Philadelphia home late Friday night. Crews responded to a blaze on the 100 block of West Seymour Street in the city's Germantown neighborhood just before midnight, officials said.

The fire was placed under control about 20 minutes after crews arrrived, but it flared up again around 2:30 a.m., according to reports. It was extinguished shortly after 3 a.m.

No injuries were reported in the Philly fire.
