Fired Pennsylvania Hot Dog Shop Employee Steals From Former Employer: Police

A woman has been charged with stealing from the hot dog shop where she was fired days before, by hiding in the business on the night of a western Pennsylvania town's Light Up Night celebration.

Twenty-five-year-old Danielle Kumrow has waived her right to a preliminary hearing on theft and criminal trespass charges.

New Castle police say she was fired from the Coney Island shop on Nov. 9, then returned to the business as a customer on Nov. 12. Police say Kumrow hid in the basement of the business until after it closed, then stole $894 before leaving early the next day.

The store's manager told police she set the alarm and locked the doors, only to find the doors locked and the money missing the next day.

Kumrow faces a formal arraignment Jan. 5.
