A fire truck with lights on and sirens blaring hit a dirt bike driver in Wilmington, Delaware Saturday, sending the victim to the hospital.
Video of the accident at 4th and Van Buren Streets shows the dirt bike crushed under the bed of the bed of the truck right behind the front wheels.[[388755811,C]]
"I guess the person on the motorcycle couldn't see it or hear it and just kept on going," said Juan Santana who saw everything and said the force of the accident flung the victim across the street.
Police said late Saturday charges are pending against the victim who they say ran a red light. The ladder truck was on it's way to a fire call when the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. The area was closed off for hours while accident investigators worked the scene.
The victim's identity hasn't been released. The 21-year-old man was taken to Christiana Medical Center and was in critical condition Saturday night.
