Fire Tears Through 4 Homes in Olney

The Red Cross is assisting 15 people affected by the fire

Ten fire companies were on the scene of a massive fire early Tuesday morning, on the 5200 block of North 3rd Street, in the Olney section of Philadelphia.

The fire started in a two-story row home, and quickly spread to three other neighboring homes.

All residents made it out safely, and there were no injuries, according to Battalion Chief Asa
Grimes, of the Philadelphia Fire Department.

The Red Cross is assisting fifteen people with food, shelter, clothing, and health services.

Eleven of those people, including two children, will seek shelter at the Red Cross House.
