An early morning fire sends a man and two small children to the hospital with smoke inhalation

An early morning house fire rips through a Camden County community and sends a man and two small children to the hospital.

Fire officials say the fire started sometime before 2 Friday morning in a vacant house on S. 24th street in Camden and quickly spread to two nearby homes.

The man, a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl were taken to Cooper Hospital with smoke inhalation. The children have been treated and released.

The kids, along with eight adults were displaced by the fire. The Red Cross of Camden County is providing hotels for the families until Monday.
