Fire Marshal Investigates Recycling Plant Blaze

A state police fire marshal was investigating the cause of a blaze that destroyed a recycling plant in western Pennsylvania.

The fire was reported just after 3 a.m. Sunday in Bullskin Township. That's about 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

Township fire Chief Joe Liska says firefighters were forced to remain on the outside of the building, for fear the roof would cave in. The fire prompted at least one explosion at the business, B&R Recycling.

The fire took about four hours to extinguish.

Nobody answered a phone at the business Monday. The status of the fire marshal's investigation was unclear.
