Erik Watson, 54, died early Tuesday after a house fire in the 1200 block of Washington Street in Cape May, N.J.

Investigators say the fire appears accidental and may have started in the kitchen area.

In December 2010, Watson survived a fire at the Merion Inn, a 125-year-old restaurant in Cape May. He was unconscious when firefighters pulled him out of an apartment above the inn, that is owned by his family.

Watson's sister and her boyfriend escaped that fire unharmed.
