State police say one of three inmates who escaped from a Berks County prison last week has been recaptured, while the others are still being sought.
Troopers said they took 28-year-old Ryan Celani into custody Monday after receiving a tip that he was at a fast food restaurant along Route 61 in Schuylkill Haven.
Investigators said Celani pulled a fire alarm Friday afternoon at Wernersville Corrections Center in South Heidelberg Township and escaped along with 22-year-old Jeremy Collazo.
Less than four hours later, police say 25-year-old Adam Murphy also pulled a fire alarm and escaped. Police say he was last seen getting into a gold-colored Honda Civic with New York plates.
Pulling a fire alarm was used to escape from this facility before. Back in June, two men got away after pulling an alarm.
The Wernersville Community Correction Center is a type of half-way house located on Main Street in Wernersville, Pa.
