Not all the spectators at the Philadelphia City Hall Christmas tree lighting ceremony were filled with the holiday spirit Wednesday.
A fight broke out in Love Park between two women who were jostling for a better view of the 38-foot-tall artificial tree.
Mayor Nutter, dignitaries and revelers looked on as other crowd members and Philadelphia Police Department officers stepped in, preventing the argument from escalating further.
Neither woman was charged with a crime and the ceremony continued as scheduled after the fight ended.
Mayor Nutter flipped the 6,000 LED lights on to end the day's festivities, which included a live musical performance from the cast of the Jersey Boys.
