An undercover gun trafficking probe has led to the arrest of 22 people.

An undercover gun trafficking probe has led to the arrest of 22 people.

Federal prosecutors on Thursday said the operation was run like a drive-thru out of a Philadelphia home, as buyers could drive up and have a gun delivered to their car. In other cases, sales were conducted out of a storage facility and a clothing store.

Investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also said more than 60 guns were seized, from handguns to military-style semiautomatic rifles, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

The probe is part of the Violent Crime Reduction Partnership that was announced last month by Attorney General Eric Holder. It's targeting crime hotspots with a more than 50 federal agents and investigators who are working with local police.
