Police Chief William Wilcox, of the Falls Township Police Department, was hurt Wednesday morning when his police car was hit by a truck at Jacksonville and Bristol Road in Warminster.

Investigators say the truck had several dozen propane tanks and is owned by Anthem Propane Exchange of York, Pa.

Witnesses say the police car was traveling eastbound on Bristol Road and had the green light when it was hit. That truck overturned after hitting the police car.

Wilcox was taken to St. Mary Medical Center with head injuries. He's in stable condition.

Warminster Police are investigating.
