Philadelphia police are investigating a bizarre home invasion in which a female stole a pizza and soda from the refrigerator of an 87-year-old woman.
The ordeal began about 7 p.m. Saturday inside a home in the 800 block of N. Taney Street in the city’s Fairmount section.
According to investigators, the 87-year-old female heard a knock on her front door and opened the door, assuming it was her daughter.
The female then walked into the house and told the elderly woman she was told to come to the house for food.
The suspect then walked into the kitchen and removed pizza and a soda from the refrigerator.
The 87-year-old woman then pulled the female out of the kitchen and then out of the front door.
The suspect ran down the street with the pizza and soda.
