FBI Offers Reward for Wanted Lancaster County Swim Coach

The FBI announced a reward for a former Lancaster County teacher wanted for allegedly filming woman changing in the locker room of a college aquatic center nearly 20 years ago.

An undisclosed amount of money was offered by the FBI for information leading to the arrest of Lorrie John Trites.

Trites was the swim coach at Franklin & Marshall College when he was accused of videotaping several young woman as they changed their clothes in the school's aquatic center locker room between Dec. 1997 and February 1998.

He was charged with six counts of violating the Pa. Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act before he fled to avoid custody in 1999, authorities said.

He hasn't been seen since.

Trites is described as a 53-year-old man with brown hair and brown eyes. He stands 6'7" tall and weighs between 250 and 290 pounds.

The former coach has local ties as well as ties to New Mexico, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, Canada, Trinidad and the Bahamas, according to the FBI.

Trites should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to contact their local FBI office.
