A fired West Central High School teacher in Morris County has admitted sexually touching and texting a 15-year-old female student.
Thirty-one-year-old David Scheck of North Brunswick pleaded guilty on Monday to criminal sexual contact and official misconduct.
The actions took place in 2007 when Scheck was 24 and taught music at the school.
Under terms of a plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend Scheck serve two years of a five-year prison sentence before becoming eligible for parole. He would also have to forfeit his teacher's license and register under Megan's Law.
