Ex-Sportscaster's Storage Units Up for Auction

A South Philadelphia storage company is tired of not being paid by one of its customers and now, they're putting two of former Philly sportscaster Don Tollefson's units up for auction.

The auction began at 11:30 Monday morning at the Public Storage on N. Columbus Blvd. Two units containing Tollefson's possessions and a Ford Explorer stored he kept there went up for auction because, according to the company, Tollefson, 61, is behind on his payments.

Units at the facility can be put up for auction after just two-and-a-half months of non-payment.

No word on how long its been since Tollefson last paid.

The ex-sportscaster, who worked in the Philadelphia market for 30, was arrested last week on charges that he cheated charities out of more than $100,000.

Tollefson's ball was set at $250,000 last Tuesday, but that amount was reduced to $10,000 cash and his home as collateral, according to court records.

Tollefson remains incarcerated at the Bucks County Detention Center.
