A former security guard and four other people are in custody after they allegedly stole over $180,000 from an Atlantic City casino.

Izyiah Plummer, 19, of Atlantic City, Lance Rogers, 20, also of Atlantic City, and Dwayne Morgan, 20, Monique Kelly, 19, and Aaron Evans, 23, all of Pleasantville, are charged with robbery, aggravated assault and other related offenses.

Police say two masked men entered the Caesars Atlantic City casino on the 2100 block of Pacific Avenue around 6:20 a.m. July 21. At least one of the suspects pulled out a gun, according to police.

The men allegedly removed three cases from a kiosk machine trolley and then left with two of the cases, which held more than $181,000. They then drove away in a dark sedan.

Police arrested all five suspects last week following an investigation.

Plummer worked as a security officer at Caesars, according to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. A source told NBC10 Plummer was fired from the job on July 9, nearly two weeks before the robbery.

Evans' aunt, who did not want to be identified, told NBC10 her nephew is innocent.

"My nephew was not even in town," she said. "He's been wrongly accused."

Detectives from the Casino Gaming Bureau are working with local agencies to identify any additional suspects and recover more evidence. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the New Jersey State Police Casino Gaming Bureau at 609-441-7464.
