Ex-Con Admits Robbing Same Shoe Store 15 Years Later

An ex-con admitted he returned to the scene of the crime that put him away for 15 years and robbed the same New Jersey shoe store and same clerk.

Christopher Miller pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery.

Prosecutors say the 41-year-old had completed a 15-year prison term for robbing the Stride Rite store in Tomes River when he returned the day after his release and committed the same crime in March 2014.

Police say Miller made off with $389 and fled on foot with the employees' cellphones.

The clerk, who had been notified about Miller's release, identified the suspect as the same person who had robbed the store in 1999.

Miller faces a prison term of 10 to 20 years in prison when he's sentenced in May.
