An elderly woman is recovering after she was accidentally run over by her own car.
The unidentified woman was with her 84-year-old sister on the 500 block of Fresno Place in Magnolia, New Jersey around noon.
The victim's sister left the driver's seat of their car to help the woman place items in the trunk but forgot to place the vehicle in park.
The vehicle rolled backwards and struck the victim, knocking her to the ground and pinning her underneath the car.
Medics and firefighters were called to the scene and were able to free the woman by using a vehicle jack. The woman was taken to Cooper hospital where she was treated for her injuries. Officials have not yet revealed her condition but say she is expected to survive.
Officials continue to investigate the incident but no charges have been filed.
