Police say a missing elderly man, who suffers from dementia, has been found safe and in good health.

Investigators say Dominick Paparella, 82, was found driving on the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday night after a Silver Alert was issued.

Paparella, of West Windsor, NJ, went missing from the Parx Casino shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday morning. He was driving a 2001 silver Infinity I30 even though investigators say he had not driven a vehicle for over a year.

Investigators tell NBC10 Paparella returned to the casino Saturday night, walked around but could not find his vehicle when he was ready to leave again. Police say he asked workers to help him locate his car but left before help arrived.

Paparella has been reunited with his family, according to police.
