Eagles Team Up to Raise Domestic Violence Awareness

The Philadelphia Eagles teamed with regional Verizon Wireless stores to help raise awareness about domestic violence for the entire month of April.

The Birds partnered with the telecommunication company for the "Pass Along Hope" campaign and are asking that customers donated their old phones to help raise money for anti-domestic abuse organizations in the area.

The campaign, which officially wraps up Tuesday at the opening of a new Verizon store in Springfield, Delaware County, gave a $1 to the HopeLine program for every phone donated.

Proceeds raised during the wrap ceremony will be presented to the Asia Adams Save OUR Children Foundation and the People's Emergency Center.

During the campaign, customers were also encouraged to leave a personal message of hope along with their donations on social media using the hashtag #EaglesVZHope to spread the word.

A collection of all customer messages shared were posted on the Eagles website.
