Temple Football Game, Half-Marathon Leads to Philly Street Closings

Halloween could be tricky for motorists in downtown Philadelphia.

Market Street is closed between Fifth and Sixth Streets until 7 p.m. Saturday because of ESPN's "College GameDay.'' The broadcast will highlight Saturday's game between undefeated Temple University and Notre Dame.

Much of Sixth Street also is closing between Arch and Market Streets.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Rock ‘n' Roll Half Marathon will take place earlier Saturday. The race will cause rolling shutdowns of portions of the Parkway, Market and Spring Garden Streets, along with 15th to 22nd Streets.

The race was postponed because of Pope Francis' visit in September.

SEPTA and PATCO are adding trains.
