Police in western Pennsylvania say a man wearing a Santa hat is behind bars after he peered into the windows of a woman and sent her numerous text messages.
Investigators in Donora say 24-year-old James Jakela was arrested early Sunday following a brief foot pursuit after the woman called police.
Authorities say Jakela was visibly intoxicated, wearing a Santa shirt and hat when he was arrested. The woman told police Jakela had repeatedly sent her text messages asking if she wanted to see his costume.
WPXI-TV reports Jakela's outfit was intended to be a Grinch costume. His parents tell the station the arrest was a mistake.
Jakela faces charges including loitering, disorderly conduct and harassment. He's being held on $5,000 bail at Washington County jail.
