Residents on the 400 block of West Duncannon Avenue in the Olney section of Philadelphia flagged down police at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, after a car crashed into a house.
Police say the driver of the GMC Envoy was unconscious. Paramedics pulled him from the car and he was taken to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after 1:00 a.m.
Doctors say the man had been stabbed twice in the chest, according to Chief Inspector Scott Small, Philadelphia Police, who says the accident was a result of the stabbing.
The victim is believed to be around 19 or 20 years old.
Police are calling this a homicide investigation.
