Police in northeastern Pennsylvania say an enraged motorist hit and killed a man who had told him to slow down as a child crossed the street.
State police say 21-year-old Lorenzo Burgos of Plymouth, Luzerne County hit and killed 42-year-old Fred John Kleman Jr. on a Plymouth street Wednesday night.
Authorities say Kleman saw Burgos approaching at a high rate of speed as a child was crossing the road and stepped out into the road to get him to ease off the gas, yelling, “Slow down, this isn't a racetrack.”
Police say Burgos returned a few minutes later and hit Kleman.
Burgos was arraigned Thursday on vehicular homicide and related charges and jailed in lieu of $1 million bail. A call left at the public defender's office after hours Thursday wasn't immediately returned.
