Drexel Hill Mom Accused of Whacking Son in Head With Bat

The Drexel Hill woman is not allowed to have any contact with her 16-year-old son

A Drexel Hill mother is not allowed to have any contact with her son after police say she hit him in the head with a baseball bat and knocked him unconscious, reports the Delaware County Daily Times.

Police say 50-year-old Kerry Marchesani of Hillcrest Road was arrested after she got into an argument with her 16-year-old son’s friend. When her son came to his friend’s defense, his mother allegedly whacked him with the bat, authorities tell the Delco Times. They also tell the Times the woman had been drinking.

Marchesani was arraigned on harassment and assault charges and released. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 6.

She is ordered to not have any contact with her son.

β€œThis is not tough love, this is criminal love,” police Superintendent Michael Chitwood told the paper.
