Authorities say a dispute over $5 ended with a woman stabbing a man in New Jersey's capital city.
Trenton police say 37-year-old city resident Nirva Charles is charged with aggravated assault and two weapons offenses.
Officers found the 26-year-old victim around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday when they responded to a 911 call. They say the man told them he and Charles were arguing over $5 when she stabbed him with an unknown object.
Charles fled into a nearby house but was soon found and arrested. It wasn't known Wednesday if she has retained an attorney.
The man was treated at a hospital for a minor laceration to the right side of his back.
Further details about the dispute have not been disclosed.
