Dispute Between Neighbors Leads to Stabbing: Police

Wilmington Police

Police arrested a Wilmington man for allegedly stabbing his 68-year-old neighbor following an argument.

Police were called to the 800 block of North Adams Street around 11:15 a.m. Sunday. Investigators say Robert Lee Jones, 68, saw his 68-year-old neighbor hanging clothes in his backyard and attacked him with a sharp object.

The victim suffered wounds to the chin, chest, hand, and abdomen, according to police.
The man was taken to Christiana Hospital. He is listed in serious but stable condition.

Jones was arrested at his home and charged with assault and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

No word on what sparked the argument.
