Democratic National Convention Committee to Host Additional Business Outreach Events

Following an overwhelmingly positive response to the Democratic National Convention Committees's first business outreach event on Tuesday, the DNCC and the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention will host additional outreach events in the coming weeks.

With over 600 individuals having RSVP'd for the Democratic National Convention Business Engagement Tele-Town Hall, the first of a series of outreach events, the committee added sessions to address area interest and inform regional businesses about how to get involved.

Matt Butler, Chief of Staff for the Democratic National Convention Committee, was excited about the level of participation from from regional business owners.

"We are delighted by the response to Tuesday's Tele-Town Hall," Butler said. "We hope to make this the most diverse, engaging and forward looking convention in history and we can only make that a reality with the participation of diverse businesses throughout the region."

This level of engagement is integral to the mission of the Convention. The DNCC has set an unprecedented goal to award 35 percent of its contracts to diverse businesses.
