Delaware Police Find 465 Bags of Heroin and Handgun After a Car Chase, Arrest 2

Two Chester men were arrested in Wilmington after a short car chase for alleged heroin and illegal firearm possession late Friday night, Delaware police said.

Police said officers found 465 baggies of heroin and a gun in the car. The heroin totaled just under 14 grams.

Police were patrolling near Seventh and Washington streets when they noticed a 2002 Hyundai Elantra.

Police attempted to pull the car over, but the driver, Deiantsy Davis, 22, allegedly refused to stop. The chase ended when the Hyundai crashed into a DART bus at Second and Monroe streets, police said.

Davis and his passenger, Dauwud Coles, 20, were arrested after the crash. Both were treated at Wilmington Hospital for injuries from the accident while the Dart bus driver, the only occupant of the bus, suffered a shoulder injury.
