Power Outage Delays Courthouse Opening

A suburban Philadelphia courthouse and government offices opened late this morning due to a power outage.

The Delaware County Government Center and Courthouse offices on W Front Street in Media, Pa. opened two hours late Wednesday morning, according to county officials.

The building opened at 10.30 a.m.

According to county officials, the weekly public County Council meeting began one hour later than scheduled at 11 a.m. instead of 10 a.m.

No word yet on what caused the outage.

Anyone with business at the courthouse Wednesday more was urged to check in before heading down.
