Delaware State Police is investigating the fatal hit-and-run of a man along the side of a roadway early Sunday morning.
Investigators say the body of Joshua Wiess, 31, of Dover was found in a ditch off the north side of Willow Grove Road around 9:00 a.m. Police say the crash happened sometime between 12:30 a.m. and when his body was discovered.
Weiss was at a party Saturday night into Sunday morning when he suddenly left, police say. Weiss’ wife and others attempted to locate him unsuccessfully, according to investigators. A passing motorist discovered his body in a ditch and called police.
