Del. Police Hunt for ‘Streaker'

The naked man was spotted twice in Newark on Sunday, and investigators think he maybe the same man wanted for several other indecent exposure incidents last year

Newark Police want the public to be on the lookout for a naked man who was spotted in two different neighborhoods of Newark on Sunday.

Police say just before 9 p.m. Sunday night a woman reported seeing a naked man walking in front of a house on the 300 block of Wilson Road. The witness says the man then walked in between two homes and came back a few minutes later, dressed in blue shorts and a gray shirt, running towards a gold or tan colored sedan.

Less than an hour later, two women tell police they were walking along the 100 block of West Park Place when they spotted a man hiding in the bushes, who dropped his pants and exposed his buttocks, police said.

In both incidents, witnesses gave a similar description and say the man was between the age of 25-35, about 5'10", possibly bald or with shortly cropped hair.

Newark Police believe this maybe the same man responsible for five similar reports of indecent exposure that happened in late 2011.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
