The 30-year-old was shot answering his front door, police say.

A 30-year-old Delaware man was gunned down while answering his front door Thursday, according to Delawareonline.com.

Teiso Richardson was shot in his head and chest in front of his wife, daughter and three stepchildren around 8:20 a.m., reports Delaware Online.

Police say the gunman never entered the house.

“This just has me baffled" the victim’s father, Michael Richardson told the online publication. “They called him the gentle giant.”

The younger Richardson is the second man in his family to be shot dead. In 2005, his brother Deshonne Moore, 27, was also gunned down only blocks away.

“All you ever saw him with was a smile on his face, says the victim’s father to Delawareonline.com.

Police are searching for the gunman. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black sneakers with light blue pants.
