Ex-Teen Beauty Queen Put on Probation

Melissa King punished for underage alcohol possession

A young woman who resigned as Miss Delaware Teen USA earlier this year after an online porn video surfaced must serve a year of probation after pleading guilty to underage alcohol possession.

Melissa King appeared Monday in Worcester County District Court in Ocean City, Md. on citations for an alcohol charge and a separate theft charge.

King was cited in August on the alcohol charge after police found a bottle of rum in her father's truck, which she was driving home from work. She also had to pay a $100 fine, according to Delaware Online.

King was cited last June for allegedly stealing money from a city bus fare box, but prosecutors dropped that charge Monday, citing doubts about their case.

A warrant in the theft case was issued in August, followed by an October warrant on the alcohol charge. The warrants were rescinded when today’s court date was set.

King was crowned Miss Delaware Teen USA 2013 during a ceremony in November.

King resigned her pageant title after the online sex video surfaced.

Various versions of the online video have surfaced showing a woman performing various sex acts and talking about sex. She denied being the woman in the video but never spoke publicly about this allegations.
