Police are investigating a suspicious death in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

On Wednesday, shortly after 8:30 p.m., a decomposed body was found in a wooded area near the 5200 block of Magnolia Street. Investigators say the body was wrapped in a blanket.

Police say they won’t know the cause of death until an autopsy is done. However, they suspect the death is suspicious. They have not yet revealed the victim’s identity.

As Philadelphia Police investigate the incident, Chester Police are searching for the people or person responsible for a double shooting that left a man and an elderly woman in the hospital.

Police say a 22-year-old man was shot on West 22nd Street in Chester. An 82-year-old woman, who was inside her home at the time, was also struck by a stray bullet. Police say she was an innocent bystander.
