Seven people were injured, including a baby girl, when the rear deck of a home came down during a block party and barbecue on Saturday, September 4, 2010 in the Cedarbrook neighborhood of Philadelphia.
Seven people were taken to the hospital after a deck collapsed Saturday afternoon during a barbecue. One of the victims was a three-month-old baby girl.
When the rear deck came crashing down onto cars below, the baby girl suffered minor burns when the grill overturned on her, according to Philadelphia police. The adults were being checked out for neck and back pain.
The deck was on the back of a home on Michener Avenue in the Cedarbrook section of the city.
The street was closed off at the time for a block party.
The adults who were hurt were being checked out for complaints of neck and back pain.
Licenses and Inspections was on the scene investigating.
